Residential Care Skill Set

About this course

This skill set includes the mandatory units for residential care workers in Victoria. 

You will do the following units:

• facilitate responsible behaviour
• work effectively in trauma informed care
• provide support to children and youth in out-of-home care
• work with children and young people with complex trauma and attachment issues and needs.

This skill set is for existing workers who: 

• hold the Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention, or
• hold another recognised qualification, or
• are working towards one of these mandatory qualifications.
