About this course
This unit shows you how to operate a forklift truck in a safe and legal way. You’ll learn how to move loads, check your equipment, and follow safety rules on site. It’s a hands-on course that prepares you for real work in warehouses, factories, and construction sites.
This unit covers:
- how to drive, steer, and lift safely
- moving materials without tipping or damage
- inspect your forklift before and after use
- understand traffic plans, hazards, and safe path
- use signals and radios to work with others.
This short course consists of nationally recognised units of competency.
Licensing and regulatory information
Before entering a construction site, you’ll need to complete the unit ‘CONISS012 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry’. If you complete this unit with a WorkSafe approved training provider, you will be issued with a Construction induction card (white card).Course providers
