About this course

Ready to take your scaffolding skills to the next level? This course builds on your basic scaffolding knowledge. It teaches you how to work with more complex scaffold systems used on big construction and industrial sites.

In this course you will learn how to:

  • build and take down tube scaffolds 
  • use advanced scaffold frame
  • set up cantilever platforms 
  • set up crane-loading and spur scaffolds
  • create safe walkways and access points
  • use powered climbing platforms
  • use correct safety equipment
  • install screens, shutters, and edge protection.

This short course consists of nationally recognised units of competency.

Licensing and regulatory information

Once you pass the training and assessment, you will get a Statement of Attainment. You can then apply to WorkSafe Victoria for your High risk work licence (intermediate scaffolding licence – SI class).
