Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding advanced level

Course code: CONISS010

About this course

This short course teaches you how to work with advanced scaffolding systems. You will learn how to set up, change, and take down scaffolds that are suspended, hung, or cantilevered. These are used in big construction jobs where standard scaffolding isn’t enough.

You will learn how to:

  • work with hung scaffolds, suspended platforms, and cantilevered hoists
  • understand the risks and plan each job carefully
  • work with others to keep the site safe
  • build and dismantle advanced scaffolds in real-world settings.

This short course consists of nationally recognised units of competency.

Licensing and regulatory information

Before entering a construction site, you’ll need to complete the unit ‘CONISS012 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry’. If you complete this unit with a WorkSafe approved training provider, you will be issued with a Construction induction card (white card).
