The world is producing more data and information than ever before. Do you want to work in information-heavy areas like libraries, galleries and museums? This course will provide you with the foundation skills and knowledge needed for roles in these areas.
You will learn how to:

- manage technical databases.
These skills will enable you to help people:

- analyse ideas and concepts.
On completion of this course you could go on to work as a:

- gallery technician.

This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Licensing and regulatory information
To meet accreditation requirements for the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) as a library technician, the candidate must have completed at least 70 hours of work placement as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.
