About this course

Workplace spotters help keep construction workers safe. They monitor safety for above-ground and below-ground projects like power lines, electrical conductors and pipelines.  

This skill set is one of the requirements to register as a spotter with Energy Safe Victoria (ESV). 

Skills you will learn in the training include: 

  • first aid response
  • safe work practices
  • working with overhead and underground hazards 
  • talking to others about safety 
  • conducting safety checks
  • communicating with plant operators
  • emergency procedures and activities
  • safety aspects of plants and machinery.

To enrol in this skill set you must be at least 18 years of age. 

This accredited course is nationally recognised.
