Do you have a passion for horses and want to train thoroughbreds? This course teaches you how to safely ride racehorses during slow training sessions.
In this course you will learn how to:
- handle and ride racehorses safely
- follow instructions from trainers and stable staff
- use riding gear properly
- work as part of a team in a racing stable.
You will get hands-on experience with real horses and learn safety rules and how to avoid injury.
After completing this course, you will be able to seek work in:
- racing stables
- training centres
- racecourses across Victoria
- regional and metropolitan racing clubs.
