This hands-on training will give you the skills to work in the wool industry or take your wool classing career to the next level.
Build your knowledge and skills for the next stage of your career in wool classing by learning how to:
- prepare fleece wool for classing
- prepare skirtings and oddments
- document a wool clip
- determine wool classing strategies
- implement and monitor quality assurance procedures
- perform shed duties
- plan, implement and review wool harvesting and clip preparation
- prepare wool based on its characteristics.
This course is a specialist wool classing qualification. It will qualify you to manage all shearing shed operations or apply for jobs in the wool buying, marketing and production industries.
This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Licensing and regulatory information
