Are you a pastry chef wanting to take on more responsibility in your role? Are you looking for the next step in your career? Perhaps your dream is to manage your own professional bakery or kitchen.

This training will give you the skills and knowledge to become a qualified chef specialising in patisserie.

This course involves specialist training in:

  • chocolate
  • desserts
  • gateaux, torten and cakes
  • pastries and petit fours
  • buffet show pieces
  • marzipan and sugar-based decoration.

You will also learn about food safety and how to cater to diverse dietary requirements.

You can choose from a wide range of electives in areas that interest you:

  • food and beverage
  • food safety
  • human resource management
  • inventory
  • kitchen operations

On completion of this training you could work as a chef pâtissier or chef de partie. You could also run your own patisserie business.
