About this course
This qualification defines the skills and knowledge required for road transport trainers who will be training individuals or groups in cars, heavy vehicles or motorcycles. This qualification is not for the public to gain a driver's licence.
Are you interested in becoming a driving instructor? This course gives you the skills to teach others how to drive safely and confidently.
You will learn how to:
- teach driving skills in a clear and safe way
- plan lessons for different types of learners
- understand road rules and how to explain them
- give feedback that helps learners improve
- manage risks and stay calm in tricky situations
- use training vehicles and equipment properly.
You will also learn how to work with real learners in real driving conditions, and help nervous drivers build confidence.
