Do you love fashion and want to create your own designs? In this course you will learn how to turn ideas into real garments. You will gain the skills needed to design, make, and present clothing that’s stylish, practical, and creative.
You will learn how to:
- sketch and develop fashion ideas
- choose fabrics and materials that suit your designs
- cut, sew, and finish garments using industry techniques
- work with patterns and adjust them to fit
- present your work professionally, including photos and displays.
The course includes how fashion trends and customer preferences influence design decisions.
You will get hands-on experience in a studio setting, using tools and equipment to bring your designs to life.
After completing this course may seek work in garment production in roles such as:
- design assistant
- merchandising assistant
- assistant pattern maker
- sewing machinist
- production assistant
- fashion administration assistant.
You could also continue further studies in areas like fashion design, merchandising, and textile development.
