About this course

Are you looking for a creative job that’s also practical and rewarding? Signwriting may be for you.

This course will teach you the skills to design, build, and install a variety of signs and graphics. You will learn hands-on skills in graphic design, digital layouts and how to construct indoor and outdoor signage.

Some of the skills and knowledge you will learn in the training include:

vinyl sign production and application
gilding and surface coatings
painting letters and decorative effects
engraving and airbrushing
sign erection and working at heights.

This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

This course must be done as an apprenticeship. You’ll get practical skills and experience in a specific trade or profession. On completion you will receive a nationally recognised qualification.

To do an apprenticeship you’ll need an employer willing to hire you as an apprentice.
