Do you like working with your hands and using power tools? Shopfitting may be a good career option for you.
Shopfitters construct or renovate retail or office environments. The training covers how to:
- construct shopfront structures
- install shop walls and fixtures
- apply decorative additions
- read construction plans and drawings
- work safely in the construction industry
- use carpentry tools and equipment.
Shopfitting is closely related to interior building trades such as carpenters and joiners.
This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
