About this course
Do you want to learn how books, brochures, and packaging come together after printing? This hands-on course teaches you how to bind, finish, and package printed materials so they look professional and are ready to use or sell.
Techniques you’ll learn include:
- folding, cutting, gluing, and stitching
- how to operate binding and finishing machine
- the basics of packaging printed items for delivery or display
- working in a team and keeping things organised
- how to safely use tools and follow workplace procedures.
This course can lead to positions in the printing industry such as:
- print finisher
- bindery operator
- packaging operator
- print production assistant
- quality control inspector.
This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

This course can be done as an apprenticeship. You’ll get practical skills and experience in a specific trade or profession. On completion you will receive a nationally recognised qualification.
