About this course

Do you enjoy working outdoors? If you like the sound of a career in landscape gardening, this course could be for you.

This practical training will give you skills and knowledge in the following areas:

  • installing drainage systems
  • setting out sites for construction works
  • constructing brick and block structures and features
  • constructing stone structures and features
  • installing stone cladding
  • paving
  • constructing concrete landscape features
  • building retaining walls
  • plants and plant establishment
  • soil improvements for garden and turf areas.

You can also choose electives in areas that interest you, such as:

  • water features
  • outdoor tiling
  • roof gardens
  • vertical gardens
  • landscape maintenance.

On completion of this training you will be qualified for roles including landscaper and landscaping worker.

Note that the availability of electives may vary depending on your selected training provider.
