Are you looking for an exciting career working on excavators, bulldozers and cranes? This course will give you the skills to repair and maintain mobile plant equipment.
You will learn how to diagnose and repair faults in:
- engines
- hydraulic systems
- electrical components.
The course also covers how to work safely and communicate with clients.
This course can lead to jobs such as:
- mobile plant mechanic
- service technician
- heavy equipment mechanic.
This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

This course must be done as an apprenticeship. You’ll get practical skills and experience in a specific trade or profession. On completion you will receive a nationally recognised qualification.
To do an apprenticeship you’ll need an employer willing to hire you as an apprentice.
