About this course
Are you interested in becoming a retail butcher? In this course you will learn skills needed to work in a butcher shop or a supermarket.
Learn how to prepare meat products for customers. This will include skills to cut, trim, bone, grind, weigh, wrap, and label different types of meat.
You will also learn how to make sausages, burgers, meatballs, and other processed items.
In the retail butcher setting, you will learn customer service skills, and gain a knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
