Certificate III in Marine Craft Construction

About this course

Are you interested in working with boats and other marine craft? You will need a formal apprenticeship to access on and off-the-job learning to participate in this training.

The skills and knowledge you will develop includes:

construction work on a wide range of marine craft
undertaking manufacturing and repairs of boats in fibre-reinforced plastics
timber and metal and marine/boat yard operations
fitting out of internal and external components of vessels
installation of engineering drive systems.

This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

This course must be done as an apprenticeship. You’ll get practical skills and experience in a specific trade or profession. On completion you will receive a nationally recognised qualification.

To do an apprenticeship you’ll need an employer willing to hire you as an apprentice.
