Do you want to learn the tools of the trade as a light vehicle mechanic? This automotive apprenticeship course will give you the skills and knowledge you need.

This course will cover the following core skills:

  • safe working practices
  • testing and repairing basic electrical circuits
  • testing, charging and replacing batteries
  • diagnosing and repairing light vehicle systems
  • environmental and sustainability best practice
  • carrying out servicing work.

You can also choose electives that interest you, for example:

  • vehicle safety inspections
  • working with hybrid electric vehicles
  • repairing dynamic control systems
  • servicing diesel fuel injection systems
  • maintaining measuring equipment in workshops.

On completion of the course, you will be able to work as a light vehicle mechanic.
