Would you like to be a part of Victoria’s famous hospitality scene? There is high demand for staff in local cafes, world-leading restaurants and accommodation.

Careers in hospitality can be very diverse. This course offers a strong overview of the industry, covering core skills in service, sales and operations.

You can also choose electives in areas that interest you, for example: 

  • customer service
  • food preparation, handling and safety
  • commercial cookery and catering
  • responsible service of alcohol
  • responsible provision of gaming services
  • accommodation services
  • social media promotion.

This qualification is a pathway to work in restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, event venues and cafes. On completion of the course, possible roles include:

  • food and beverage attendant
  • front desk receptionist

  • gaming attendant

  • waiter.
