About this course
Would you like to use your people skills and flair for creativity to build a career as a hairdresser? This course is the ideal way to start your hairdressing journey. You will learn about salon business practices and developing specialist hairdressing skills.
Throughout the course, you will learn how to master:
- advanced cutting and colour techniques
- styling and finishing
- chemical straightening
- hair and scalp treatments
- braiding and hair-ups
- long-hair design
- basin service
- reception work
- men’s grooming.
People with this qualification can go on to work as a:
- qualified hairdresser
- salon supervisor
- session stylist
- sales representative for a hairdressing company.
While work experience is not required for this course, it is recommended for your career development. Depending on where you decide to do the course, you may have the option of undertaking 80 hours of placement in a salon. Check with your preferred training provider for details.
