Certificate III in ESI - Distribution Overhead

About this course

This course will teach you how to work as an overhead distribution lineworker. You will gain the skills and knowledge you’ll need to work in the electricity supply industry.

You'll learn how to:

install, maintain, and inspect power poles
maintain, and inspect structures, hardware, and electrical equipment
use various tools and equipment.

This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

Licensing and regulatory information

You will need to register for a licence to work in the electricity supply industry. For more information visit the Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) website or talk to your course provider.

This course must be done as an apprenticeship. You’ll get practical skills and experience in a specific trade or profession. On completion you will receive a nationally recognised qualification.

To do an apprenticeship you’ll need an employer willing to hire you as an apprentice.
