About this course
This course will prepare you to specialise in concreting. You will learn skills for concreting operations on both residential and commercial projects.
The training will also cover common construction industry skills.
Core units include:
- concrete placement, finish and curing
- concrete reinforcement
- formwork for footings and slabs
- hand excavation
- working with plans and specifications
- using and maintaining tools and equipment
- work health and safety procedures.
This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Licensing and regulatory information
Before entering a construction site, you'll need to complete the unit 'CONISS012 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry'. If you complete this unit with a WorkSafe approved training provider, you will be issued with a Construction induction card (white card).
