Do you love bees and want to become a beekeeper? In this course you will learn how to care for bees and manage hives safely.
You’ll learn how to:
- set up and look after beehives
- keep bees healthy and spot signs of disease
- harvest honey and beeswax
- work safely around bees and use protective gear
- understand bee behaviour and seasonal changes
- check hives for pests
- move hives and manage them in different locations.
You will get to work with real hives in this hands-on course and learn about rules and regulations for keeping bees in Australia.
This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
