About this course
Qualified barbers are in demand. This course will provide you with the hands-on training and knowledge to work in any barbershop or salon as a men’s stylist.
This training will equip you with practical skills in:
- designing and styling men’s hair
- modern men’s cutting and grooming techniques
- hair and scalp treatments
- relaxing and straightening hair
- scissor and clipper techniques
- shaving with a straight razor
- head and face shaving.
Gaining this qualification will prepare you for roles in an exciting and fast-paced industry. Potential career pathways include:
- qualified barber
- salon supervisor
- men’s styling specialist
- session stylist.
While work placement isn’t required to complete this course, it is recommended to gain real-world industry experience. Depending on where you decide to do the course, you may have the option of undertaking 80 hours of placement in a salon. Check with your preferred training provider for details.
