About this course
If you’re looking to enter the automotive industry, this course will get you work-ready.
This hands-on training in automotive manufacturing requires no existing experience or knowledge. You will learn all about manufacture of bus, truck and trailer components.
Some of the skills and knowledge you will learn in the training include how to:
- check and maintain automotive equipment
- perform basic welding, thermal cutting, mechanical cutting, heating and gouging
- prepare and operate tools, equipment and machinery
- read and interpret engineering drawings.
You can also choose electives in your area of interest, for example:
- wheel alignment operations
- hydraulic system kits
- mechanical units and assemblies
- vehicle electrical circuits and systems
- heavy commercial vehicle suspension systems
- air braking systems.

This training will prepare you for an entry-level job in automotive manufacturing.
