About this course

If you love working on diesel engines and want to learn more about them, this course is for you.

You will learn how to do different tasks on various diesel engines and systems that are used in cars, trucks, and other vehicles. You will also learn how to use tools and equipment safely and effectively in the automotive industry.

This course will help you get ready for a career as a diesel mechanic or technician.

This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

This course must be done as an apprenticeship. You’ll get practical skills and experience in a specific trade or profession. On completion you will receive a nationally recognised qualification.

To do an apprenticeship you’ll need an employer willing to hire you as an apprentice.
