About this course
If you want to start a career in the automotive service and repair industry, this course is for you. It will teach you everything you need to know about repairing and maintaining the body of different types of vehicles.
You will learn how to:
- use tools and equipment
- remove and replace damaged parts
- paint and polish surfaces
- follow safety procedures.
You will also get to practise your skills on real vehicles as part of the course.
This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

This course must be done as an apprenticeship. You’ll get practical skills and experience in a specific trade or profession. On completion you will receive a nationally recognised qualification.
To do an apprenticeship you’ll need an employer willing to hire you as an apprentice.
