About this course

Are you looking to start your career in logistics? This course is designed as the place to start.

This is a basic level course that will teach you the essentials of managing and organising the flow of goods from start to end.

You’ll learn about how products get from the factory to your doorstep. You'll gain skills on how to keep track of inventory, handle products safely, and make sure everything gets to where it needs to go on time.

This course is perfect if you want to start out in the logistics and warehousing industry. It will give you the knowledge to support the supply chain effectively.

The types of jobs you’d be able to apply for includes:

reach truck/forklift driver
receiving clerk

transport clerk
warehouse operator
yard person.

This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

This course must be done as a traineeship. You’ll get technical knowledge through coursework and hands-on experience through paid work. On completion you will receive a nationally recognised qualification.

To enrol as a trainee, you’ll need:
1. a job in a relevant workplace in the same field as your course, and
2. an employer willing to sign a Commonwealth Government ‘Training Contract’ and support your learning at work.
