About this course

Do you want to work in the hospitality industry? This entry-level course is the perfect starting point. It will give you the skills and knowledge to succeed in hospitality.

This training is suitable for school-aged students and those with a limited range of hospitality skills.

You will learn how to:

• serve food and drinks
• prepare and serve espresso coffee
• practice food safety
• process sales and other financial transactions
• keep your workspace hygienic
•  participate in safe work practices.

This course includes a mix of theory and practical learning to simulate a real-life hospitality environment.

After completing this training you could work as a:

• bar attendant
• café attendant
• catering assistant
• food and beverage attendant
• front office assistant
• porter room attendant.

This course can be used as a pathway for further study into the Certificate III in Hospitality.
