About this course
If you’re a young person or school leaver looking to enter the electrical industry, this course is a gateway to a wide range of apprenticeships.
You will gain a strong understanding of the industry. The course will also help you learn about job pathways in these industries:
- electrical
- electronics
- refrigeration
- mechanical engineering.
Some of the skills and knowledge you will learn include:
- basic electrical theory
- working with telecommunication, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- electrical workshop practices
- basic installation skills
- using testing equipment
- the use of hand and power tools.
Workplace safety and first aid training are also included.
This accredited course is nationally recognised.
Licensing and regulatory information
If you complete this course with a WorkSafe approved training provider, you will receive a Construction induction card (white card). This will enable you to work on a building site and will assist you to apply for apprenticeships with employers.
