About this course
Do you love cars, motorbikes or trucks? Automotive tradespeople are in demand. If you’re a young person looking for a career in mechanics, or you're looking for a change in career, this could be the course for you.
This hands-on training will teach you the skills you need to enter the vehicle repairs industry. The training will give you the knowledge to identify and inspect the mechanical and electrical components and systems of:
- light vehicles
- heavy vehicles
- outdoor power equipment
- bicycles
- marine craft
- motorcycles.
This training is a pathway to gaining an apprenticeship in the automotive industry.
This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
