Are you interested in helping people improve their oral health and quality of life? In this advanced course, you will learn how to make dentures and sports mouthguards as a dental prosthetist.
You will learn how to:
- assess a person’s oral health needs
- plan and manage treatment for removable dentures
- provide removable dentures
- create flexible mouthguards for sporting activities
- work as an independent dental prosthetist
- follow professional and clinical practice standards
- work safely and ethically in a health care setting.
To complete this course, you must undertake at least 240 hours of clinical practice work.
This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
