    As part of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) reorganisation, Skills Victoria has been renamed Higher Education and Skills Group. Higher Education and Skills Group retains the functions of Skills Victoria to support and facilitate access to training and tertiary education opportunities.

    The Victorian Training Awards, now in their 58th year, promote and reward outstanding achievement and innovation in vocational education and training. They also acknowledge the strong partnerships between training providers and Victorian businesses which are vital to providing a strong skills base for Victoria.
