Finalists in the 2017 Victorian Training Awards have been announced with apprentices, trainees, teachers and training providers taking centre stage. Regional areas feature prominently this year among the list of finalists with representatives from across Victoria including Ararat, Dimboola, Longerenong, Geelong, Mildura, Moe and Wodonga. This year's awards feature 15 categories including six individual categories, three training and four employer categories, an Industry Collaboration Award and a Lynne Kosky Memorial Award for Lifetime Achievement.
As part of our this years awards, the Victorian community have an opportunity to vote for their favourite Apprentice of the Year finalist in the People’s Choice Award. The Victorian community have the opportunity to give an apprentice a helping hand in their future career by casting their vote on their favourite finalist via the internet. Voting for the People’s Choice Award is now open and closes at 7.30pm on Wednesday, 11 October. You can register and vote now on the

The winner will be announced by the Secretary of the Department of Education and Training Gill Callister, at the Victorian Training Awards on the 11 October at Crown Palladium with the apprentice who receives the most votes winning a 13inch Macbook worth $2,500.
