Skills and Jobs Outlook

As our economy changes work opportunities change with it. In Victoria, existing industries are developing and transitioning, and new industries are emerging. As a result, the skills required for occupations in these industries are changing.

A good understanding of the world of work and what skills will be in demand in the future will help all participants in the education and training market plan for the future.

Which industries are likely to have good employment prospects in the future? What kinds of skills will be in demand? How is the education and training system responding to these demands?

To answer these questions Skills Victoria will publish, from time to time, industry, occupation and regional skills profiles, reports on the Victorian training market and other intelligence.
