A-frame
The A-frame is designed to assist tutors, learners and Learn Local organisations plan what will be learned in pre-accredited programs, for what reason and how teaching and learning will occur. The A-frame encapsulates a set of generic skills identified as being critical, not only in gaining and maintaining employment, but operating effectively in personal and community contexts.
Development of the A-frame
First developed in 2006 and amended in 2009, A-frame: a Framework for Quality Pre-accredited Teaching and Learning (PDF 833 KB) is aimed at improving standards in pre-accredited program design and delivery and the further study and employment pathways for learners. The most recent revision ensures that the skills “critical, not only to gaining and maintaining employment, but to operating effectively in personal and community contexts” are considered in developing courses.
A-frame Tools
A number of useful tools are provided for implementing the A-Frame framework.
