Fees
Student fees for training courses
The fees payable for training depend on whether you are taking up a government funded place, or whether you are paying as a fee for service student.
Fee for service
If you are paying as a fee for service student, the provider sets the fees. You will need to get information directly from the provider about the fees for your selected course.
Government funded places
If you take up a government funded place, most of the cost of the course will be covered by the government, and you will pay fees within limits set by the government.
This section provides information about the fees payable for government funded training places from 1 July 2009, under these headings:
What You Should Know About Fees
Fees for government funded training

The rules covering fees for government funded training places are the same, whether your provider is a TAFE institute, a TAFE Division of a university, an Adult and Community Education provider, or a private training provider.
