Vocational education and training courses
Courses in vocational education and training are developed from standards set by industry and employers, to give you the skills you need to secure employment, and to extend the range and depth of your skills as your career develops. Training courses lead to a Statement of Attainment (for short courses) or a formal qualification, recognised by employers and education institutions nationally.
You can search for information on accredited courses and qualifications available in Victoria on the State Register of the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority.

Higher education courses
Courses leading to qualifications such as a bachelor's degree develop your skills and knowledge in a given field and help you meet the requirements for entry to a range of professional occupations. Further study at postgraduate level gives you the opportunity to explore a field in greater depth and contribute to new knowledge through original research.
