By entering the 2009 Victorian Training Awards, you agree to abide by the following conditions of entry:
- For an entry to be valid, it must include the official Nomination Form for your category, fully completed, signed and dated.
- Ten (10) copies of both the nomination form and the application must be submitted and received by the due date to be a valid entry.
- All training initiatives, courses and organisations referenced in nominations must be registered with the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA).
- Late applications will not be accepted.
- Candidates will be requested to attend an interview in Melbourne with the Judging Panel for their category.
- The decisions of the Judging Panels are final.
- All finalists are required to attend the 2009 Victorian Training Awards Presentation Dinner, as presence on stage for the announcement of the winner is mandatory.
- Winners of the 2009 Victorian Training Awards (with the exception of the Victorian VET Client Service/Support Excellence Award and the Victorian Teacher/Trainer of the Year Award, which are Victorian only Awards) may be the State’s nominated representatives for the national Australian Training Awards. All State representatives will be required to attend a briefing session in Melbourne in October 2009 to prepare for the Australian Training Awards.
- By applying, all applicants to the Victorian Training Awards agree that photographs and non-confidential details from their nominations can be used online and in a range of publicity and promotional materials by the Victorian Government.
- The Victorian Government reserves the right to use all or part of any material generated (photographs, film footage, application submissions or any detail) for the purpose of the Victorian Training Awards or for any website, publicity, promotional materials or campaigns related to skills and training.
- Finalists and winners of the Victorian Training Awards may be required to participate in media interviews.
- In addition to the Victorian Training Awards, finalists in the student categories (Victorian Apprentice of the Year, Victorian Trainee of the Year, Victorian School-based Apprentice of the Year, Victorian Koorie Student of the Year and Victorian Vocational Student of the Year) are also considered for the Rotary Club of Melbourne Training Awards. By entering the Victorian Training Awards, applicants consent to DIIRD providing their nomination forms and applications to the Rotary Club of Melbourne for consideration for the Rotary Club of Melbourne Training Awards.
- When necessary, Skills Victoria reserves the right to extend the deadline for applications for categories where there is an insufficient number of applications received in the first instance.
- All applications are checked for eligibility and that the correct award category has been selected by the applicant. Where it is found that an applicant has not selected the correct award category, Skills Victoria will change the applicant’s award category and will contact the applicant to alert them of this change.
