Skills Reform RTO Request for Funding

In August 2008 the Victorian Government announced Securing Jobs for Your Future - Skills Victoria, a major reform of the Victorian training system which has contestable, demand driven funding as a central tenet.

Demand driven funding will be phased in over the next year and a half, commencing from 1 July 2009, for delivery to eligible students (including apprentices and trainees) in AQF levels 5 and above and all eligible students referred to training through Skills for Growth: the Workforce Development Program.

As part of the commitment to ensuring that government subsidised places are available from a wider range of providers, all eligible providers will have access to demand driven funding for eligible students.

Request for funding 2010

Requests for Applications for Funding for 2010 are now open for private registered training organisations to provide training through the:

  • Apprenticeship Traineeship Training Program to apprentices and trainees
  • Priority Education and Training Program in skills and regions that are industry and/or Victorian Government priorities
  • Securing Jobs for Your Future - Skills for Victoria in AQF levels 5 and above, and at other AQF levels for eligible individuals referred through the Skills for Growth program; eligible retrenched workers; and all 15-24 year olds subject to admissions requirements and course availability.
