Apprenticeship Field Officers
What are Apprenticeship Field Officers?
Apprenticeship Field Officers:
- investigate disputes between apprentices or trainees and employers;
- support apprentices or trainees who are victims of workplace violence and harassment; and
- advise and counsel apprentices, trainees and employers on training and other matters.
Apprenticeship Field Officers are also authorised officers with certain powers available to them under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 to assist in ensuring that employer, apprentice and trainee obligations under a training contract are being met.
Apprenticeship Field Officers work collaboratively with a network of Apprenticeship Support Officers who provide pastoral care to young apprentices who are in the first year of their apprenticeship.
